Northeast Combined Heat and Power Initiative

Dear Speaker,

On behalf of the Ad Hoc Committee coordinating the NECHPI Annual Meeting in Albany, NY, on April 6, 2005, I would like to thank you for agreeing to speak to our assembled audience. We are certain that the stakeholder community will benefit greatly from your experiences and information, and again we thank you for your willingness to share your time and thoughts.

As you can see from the attached draft agenda, we have a very full day with an incredible amount of information to try to convey. And we want the day to be very interactive, so the session moderators will be facilitating questions and answers associated with each of your presentations. Please let me know if you would prefer changes to the way you are represented on the agenda.

In general, each speaker is invited to speak (with the assistance of a few powerpoint slides) for ten (10) minutes, followed by a five (5) minute Q&A period. Please tailor your comments and the number of slides accordingly. Please highlight for the audience the primary points, and provide a reference where they can seek greater details.

We will be pre-loading all of the powerpoint presentations onto the Conference computer, and we will be pre-printing the presentations to bind into a handout for the attendees, so it is important that you submit your powerpoint presentations in a timely manner. Please submit your powerpoint presentations to Eric Winkler <winkler@ecs.umass.edu> not later than close of business Thursday March 31, 2005. As always, it would be advisable to bring to the workshop a duplicate copy of your presentation on CD as a backup.

Also, all speakers are asked to register for the conference (we will be using the on-line registration system to generate nametags and a roster of attendees). Government employees have fee waived if registered not later than March 29th, non-government employees must pay the registration fee - speakers are not automatically exempted from paying the registration fee.
